PRATIC ha scelto di affidarsi alla competenza di IMEL per installare un nuovo impianto di verniciatura all’avanguardia che garantisce performance qualitative elevate ai rivestimenti in polvere di pergole e tende da sole in alluminio.
PRATIC S.p.A., part of the STELLAGROUP group, world leader in the production of pergolas and awnings with refined design and architecture, has implemented an advanced powder coating plant at its production site in Fagagna (Udine), built by IMEL S.p.A.. The plant has been designed to guarantee high performance in terms of resistance, offering considerable versatility in the pre-treatment and coating cycles, with a high degree of automation.
The system is optimised for energy saving and incorporates a sophisticated purification system that allows for the recovery of waste water. The line stands out for its use of high-quality equipment, a compact design that optimises space, and attention to detail, all hallmarks of PRATIC projects. The system includes a pre-treatment tunnel with separate chambers, made entirely of AISI 316 stainless steel, which allows localised treatment and minimises contamination of the baths, making it suitable for use with any chemical agent. The powder drying and polymerisation ovens, located side by side, are adequately insulated and equipped with doors that ensure optimal heat retention, thus helping to reduce fuel consumption.
The plant is also equipped with two Gema Magic Cylinder booths, each fitted with 14 guns powered by a spraying system that uses dense phase pumps and a rapid colour change system.
A key feature of the plant is its eco-compatibility: 97% of wastewater is recovered thanks to a complex purification system based on evaporation for mechanical recompression. This innovative process allows the water to be reused in the pre-treatment stages, keeping the toilets in optimal condition and reducing water consumption, with almost zero discharge into the sewer system.
Thanks to the high level of automation and the integration of certain modules of the i4paintshop® platform, the system is able to automatically manage different painting cycles, based on the part code and assigned priorities. The system guarantees automatic data flow management, complete process traceability, constant monitoring of energy consumption and efficient maintenance scheduling. Furthermore, thanks to the digital reading of data from each component of the system, it is possible to optimally manage quality and reduce waste, in accordance with Qualicoat standards. High coating performance and rigorous process control have enabled PRATIC to obtain the prestigious QUALICOAT SEASIDE certification, which attests to compliance with the most stringent international standards in terms of aluminium treatment and coating quality. This certification guarantees PRATIC the highest level of paint adhesion and excellent resistance to corrosion caused by atmospheric agents.
Thanks to this collaboration, IMEL has overcome a new challenge in high-end industrial painting treatments, demonstrating its expertise and innovative capabilities.
